The Problem
The hiring system is broken.
Finding great engineers shouldn't be this hard. Job boards are full of low-signal noise, and sifting through applicants costs time and money. The best engineers are already heads-down shipping product somewhere else.
but ....
The Fix
There’s a better way to hire.
We built an AI-native recruiting company where our recruiters, in-house engineers, and AI agents source and vet engineers before you ever post a role. By the time you need someone, we’ve already found them. Every engineer in our pool clears the same multi-stage vetting process you’ll see below.
The Vetting Process

Frequently Asked Questions
Reach out to hello@devsignal.co for more specific questions. We'll get back to you within a day.
What is DevSignal?
We’re an AI-native recruiting company. Our recruiters, in-house engineers, and AI agents work together to source and vet engineers before you ever post a role, so when you need someone, you’re choosing from developers we’ve already vetted, not starting a search from zero.
How is this different from a normal agency or a freelance platform?
Most agencies start searching after you post a role. We don’t. Our AI-driven pipeline continuously ranks and screens engineers already in our pool, so a recruiter can hand you a vetted shortlist in hours, not weeks. And unlike a freelance marketplace, every engineer clears a multi-stage technical vetting process before they’re ever shown to a client.
How much does this cost, and is anything owed upfront?
Pricing depends on the role and seniority you need. We pay above-market rates in each engineer’s location to attract top talent, while still costing less than a traditional agency or an in-house hire. Nothing is owed upfront, you only pay once your trial week ends and you decide to hire. Reach out if you’re hiring for a CTO, a PM, or need to build out an entire team, we handle those too.
What happens during the trial?
Every engagement starts with a one-week trial. You work with the engineer directly, real tasks, real collaboration, no cost to you. If it’s a fit, you hire them and pricing starts from there. If it’s not, we re-match you with someone else and start a new trial, also free.
What types of companies do you work with?
We work with venture-backed and bootstrapped startups, from a founder hiring their first engineer to teams scaling past Series B.
Do you provide timezone alignment?
Yes. Our engineering pool has a strong base in LatAm, which lines up closely with US business hours. Tell us your timezone requirements and we’ll match you with engineers who overlap with your team’s working hours.
Who owns the work my engineer produces?
You do, fully. We use a work-for-hire agreement, so you’re the legal author of everything built, not the engineer, not us. We don’t store your code on our own servers, and access is limited to people directly involved in your engagement.
How quickly can we get started?
Right now. Tell us what you need and we’ll get back to you with a match, usually within 24 hours. From there you can hire directly or hop on a call first if you want to talk it through.
Is there support after I hire?
Yes. You, your engineer, and a DevSignal contact stay in one shared channel from day one, so if anything comes up, staffing questions, performance concerns, scaling the team, there’s always someone to reach.
